Street Rods and Hot Rods
Hot Rods, Aliens and Zombies in the Mix for B-movie
We've always hoped that when the world needed saving hot rod girls would come to the rescue. Thanks to Go Kustom Films, we now know what this historic event will look like.Is it about time for the return of the hot rod B-movie?
Our sources in the Im-too-cool-to-admit-that-Im-too-cool hipster scene tell us drive-in theaters are once again cool. Or were last summer, at least. Combine that with the retro-rod movement of the last several years and were surprised the B-movie hasnt already made a big, schlocky comeback.
Go-Kustom Films, based in Seattle, Washington, is working to fill the void, currently filming its first movie, Hot Rod Girls Save the World, a movie that features female street racers, blind punk-rock grandmothers, severed fingers, aliens and zombies.
D.A. Sebasstian, who led the industrial rock group Kill Switch
Klick and produces the underground Seattle hot rod television show, Go-Kustom TV, wrote and directed the movie, which is currently scheduled for a late 2006 release. More information about the movie can be found at Go-Kustoms website, www.go-kustom.com.
