About Go-Kustom TV
Go-Kustom TV was created by D.A. Sebasstian in early 2002 as away to get local and neglected bands and independent artists on the airwaves of the Greater Seattle area. Seattle had a great public access television system run by SCAN (Seattle Community Access Network)- broadcasting on channels 29 and 77 through most of King County cable system. Various polls have shown Seattle to be second only to New York City in consistent public access viewership, with over half a million consistent viewers of SCAN every month.
The first few episodes were comprised of short films and a documentary about North Carolina noise artist "Clang Quartet." Later as Sebasstian got more proficient at video editing and purchased several budget digital cameras- Go-Kustom TV went out in the field, interviewing Al Adinolfi of Boom Theory Percussion with interviewer (and Kill Switch...Klick drummer) Mike Ditmore.
Shortly thereafter Betty X joined Go-Kustom TV interviewing the band Texylvania and Cookie bassist and lead singer Sabrina Rockarena.
Go-Kustom has recorded many live performances including sets by The Spectres, Graveyard Shift, DragStrip Riot (that's how Sebasstian met and eventually signed them to Go-Kustom Rekords), The Dirty Birds, The Bad Things, The DeadCats, Big John Bates and The Furys, The Earaches, The Dusty 45's, The Donnettes, Redneck Girlfriend and others.
Hostess Lindsay Calkins joined Go-Kustom TV in late 2002. She brought her own unique flavor to GK TV, with an easily recognizable smile and outgoing personality. Besides many bands, Lindsay interviewed Gearheads at various Car Shows, Burlesque Performers, Pin-Up Photographers, Artists and Film Makers.
In 2004 and 2005 Sebasstian began work on his first feature film called Hot Rod Girls Save The World (Starring Lindsay Calkins, Melene Marie Brown and Kim Layfield). This took away valuable editing time from Go-Kustom TV. Still he managed to get a few new shows out each year. Later Go-Kustom TV became available in a "Best Of" series on DVD. Each DVD contains two volumes each approximately an hour in length.
In 2011 Go-Kustom TV, entered the internet TV market with full, 20 minute episodes available in high quality full screen formats on Blip.TV for free as started a few collection called Go-Kustom TV Archives: Car Shows & Fabricators, which concentrated solely on the automotive episodes of GK TV.
Late in 2011 - during filming for Rats & Gassers: Kustom Kulture Takes A Ride ( a Feature Length Hot Rod & Gasser Documentary), Sebasstian realized that some of he material he was shooting at the car shows and automotive events would not work in the new Documentary as they featured muscle cars, vintage trucks or kustoms. He decided to re-boot Go-Kustom TV (Season 5).
In 2012 Miss Mandible joined Go-Kustom TV as field interviewer for the Northwest Billetproof Episode.
Also that year Pin-Up Model Kitty Mansfield joined the show as Hostess for the new Season, with her charming girl next door demeanor and gorgeous smile.
Sebasstian began editing Season 5 late in 2012, with a scheduled 14 Episodes set for the re-booted Season.
